The Good Times has published a hilarious story about the competition between Dan and me.
"In the late ’90s Amy Ettinger was scraping by in San Francisco—living in a flat with two crazy sisters, and working a medley of jobs. Eventually, she was priced out of the city. But fortunately, living arrangements opened up in Santa Cruz and Ettinger returned to the hometown of her alma mater. Desperate for some work, and curious about a possible career in journalism, Ettinger landed a job as a clerk at the Santa Cruz Sentinel. It wasn’t exactly a glowing, news-chasing position, like that of the guy who sat next to her, Dan White.
